Interview by Jalak Mehta and Parita Mehta
Dr. Aditya Vijaykumar is a post doctoral fellow at Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics. He completed his doctoral studies from International Centre for Theoretical Sciences, Bangalore. His work majorly revolves around studying the physics of gravitational wave. He is an scientific member of LIGO-Virgo-Kagra collaboration. Apart from his love for astrophysics and cosmology he is also science outreach enthusiast. Join us as we hear from Aditya about his fun anecdotes, his inspiration, his struggle with the impostor syndrome and even sings chirp signals!
Parita Mehta is a doctoral researcher at Warsaw Astronomical Observatory in Poland, she is currently in her final stretch of her Ph.D. and her doctoral research focuses on using gravitational microlensing for the search for gravitational-wave sources with Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment that is based in Chile. She is an active member Scientific organizing committee for the Early Career Astronomers session at the European Astronomical Society (EAS) annual meetings, fostering dialogue and engagement on different aspects of academia. Outside the academic realm, she is equally passionate about community and cultural integration across both in India and Poland, which keeps her inspired and grounded.
Jalak Mehta is a Science Communication and Outreach practitioner dedicated to sharing scientific knowledge and making complex ideas accessible, coordinating outreach activities, and creating content to bridge the gap between research and public engagement.
