Gravitational Waves Junior Research Fellowship Anusandhan National Research Foundation

Department of Physics of BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus is inviting applications from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on the research project sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). The position will be purely on contractual basis as per the details given below.

About the project:
The Department is looking for a highly motivated candidate to work on the field of gravitational wave (GW) astronomy. In particular, the key objective of this project is to study GWs from binaries which are orbiting in generic orbits. The candidate will get full exposure to collaborate within the country and abroad.

Qualification:
First class Master’s Degree in Physics or Mathematics (or equivalent) from a recognized University (or equivalent) +GATE/NET qualified. Those who are not GATE/NET qualified shall be considered for the post lower than JRF as per Government of India norms. Moreover, candidates with background in the following topics:  general relativity, cosmology, astrophysics, and data analysis will be preferred.
